Extreme Austrian style: More than 135 laps in the pouring rain

An extreme cyclist cycled for 24 hours in the pouring rain along a 7.6-kilometer trail in Zeltweg, Austria. “It would have been more without the bad weather,” Christoph Strasser said after crossing the finish line Saturday night. This was reported by Spiegel.

His team claims that the key to the success was the concept of eating liquid food. It’s a trend that’s trendy right now in sports nutrition and WHI. Strasser’s only visible problems were with flat tires – he had to change his bike twice.

Christoph Strasser set several world records

Strasser has been involved in extreme sports for about 15 years. According to his own words, so far he has participated in around 40 ultra-marathon bike races on particularly long distances.Previously, Strasser set many other world records. For example, he set minimum times of 100 and 200 kilometers. He holds records for the maximum distance cycled in six and twelve hours. The Austrian is a six-time winner of the race across America (RAAM).
